Marketing with Articles really does drive traffic to your site

Article Marketing is a really excellent idea when it comes to getting traffic to your website. It really isn't hard to understand why that is. When you are writing an article for article marketing you are writing in a way that will not only inform readers of your topic of choice but you are writing using words that are relevant to the topic of choice. Words used in an article that are related to each other are called relevant keywords. (I must remember to spell check this document, I've just realized that when typing, I spell relevant with an e 'relevent').

Relevant keywords are essential to agreat article. Using 4 or 5 keyword phrases in an article will give it a huge advantage when being analyzed to work out what to index the article under.

Lets say I am a blogger (which I am) and I am looking for some content for my blog (again, which I am) - when I go looking for relevant articles in one of the many article directories; I type in what I'm looking for (just like Google) and the directory will return what it thinks is the most relevant articles based on what you've typed in. If you have an article which has relevant keywords in the body part - there's a much better chance your article will be selected by the blogger.

So what, this to do with driving traffic? Simply - when the article marketer entered the article to the article directory, there was an article author or resource box at the bottom. In that box the marketer enters a bio about him or herself and inserts a URL to either their personal website or if they are entering it to give backlinks to a specific section of either their own or someones website it will contain a relevant link back or backlink to that website.

Article marketing loves bloggers. Bloggers are really great people, they love good content on their site. Most of the time they do write the blog post themselves, but, if they just want to fill in between posts they might choose to use articles from an article directory.

Article directories appear to use each others articles - they are very happy to use articles from other directories and add them to their collection. Some article directories even have the articles auto-posted to their system with a really nifty script. This is great for us. Not only do you get a nice, relevant link back from your original posting, you even get links back from all the other copies of your article wherever it is.

This is good. Regular subscribers of a blog, especially if they like the article, will certainly go look at whatever else the person has written. This will certainly drive you traffic. Another way you'll gain traffic is by ranking better for a specific keyword phrase or relevant keyword in search engines such as Google etc. This will really make your website more relevant to searches using that relevant keyword or keyword phrase.

Let me explain that a bit more. Lets say you have 5 relevant articles out in the article directories using the relevant keyword related to your page (remember that a link or any article pointing to your site is only of value to the page it is pointing to. The total number of pages on the search engine for that relevant keyword throughout your site - it isn't totaled up and analyzed to give an pointer as to what your total site is about. You'll have to use in-site linking to drive all the link power to where you want the link juice to go). Lets say that the majority of those links throughout the web are now linking to your site page targeting that relevant keyword or keyword phrase. Total them up, these will be backlinks, relevant backlinks to give Google and the other search engines something to score your page against.

Nice concept isn't it! Article Marketing is with us for a long time yet and it certainly will drive traffic to your website - in no time at all.
